Latest Verizon, Motorola Mobile Phone


Rumored spread among blogger and Journalist for Latest Motorola Android Mobile Phone. Pcmag, Motorola and Verizon have photo a photo of the back of a mobile device it is expected to launch at a press event here in New York on Tuesday. The photo (left) shows another 4G device with Kevlar synthetic backing and a rear camera that shoots in 1080p.
TechnewsWorld, Motorola and Verizon Wireless are reportedly about to unveil a Droid challenger to the highly touted Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 4S. The two have invited the press to an event to be held Oct. 18. Details about the event are not forthcoming, but Motorola has released a teaser video.

Future Mobile Broadband Trends, Google Android


Google's Android smartphones recently surged by 15% in popularity in the U.S., topping out the field with a nearly 42% share, according to the latest ComScore survey released Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Research in Motion and Microsoftsaw declines in their market shares. Microsoft, which makes the Windows Mobile and Windows Phone mobile operating systems, stayed in fourth place with nearly a 15% decline for a 5.7% market share.
For all mobile devices, including smartphones and lower-end feature phones, ComScore reported 234 million customers in July, led by Samsung (25.5% share), LG (20.9%), Motorola (14.1%), Apple (9.5%) and RIM (7.6%).

Nokia suffered an embarrassing security breach over the weekend when hackers penetrated one of its community websites and accessed names, email addresses, and other information belonging to developers of smartphone apps.
Nokia posted a message that warned developers that their information was exposed after hackers exploited a vulnerability that allowed them to carry out a SQL-injunction attack.
Other Nokia accounts are not affected.”

Samsung will link its Android phones and tablets to iOS devices and BlackBerry phones with a new messaging service called ChatOn. The service will be free and aims to compete with the popular BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), and Apple’s upcoming iMessage service.It’s unclear whether ChatOn will have a Windows Phone 7 client.

AT&T asked by FCC in investigation progress


That letter contained details about AT&T's plans to expand its HSPA+ and LTE rollout and included information that wasn't supposed to be viewable by the general public. According to the document, filed with the FCC on August 8, AT&T estimated that it would have needed to invest $3.8 billion to "expand LTE coverage from 80 to 97 percent of the U.S. population. AT&T senior management concluded that it could not justify expanding its LTE footprint beyond the Plan of Record, despite the potential marketing and competitive benefits of doing so," the letter reads. Soon after the unredacted letter was posted on the FCC Web site, it was taken down at AT&T's request.
